The motive behind making this progress report over our current Project EKALAVYA is so that we can monitor our progress we have done till now. Basically for the project we are distributing an online education opportunity of Byju’s learning platform 3 years free subscription worth rupees sixty thousand per year to the students who belong to marginal category and to the student who are not capable to afford any education support.
We got this noble opportunity through Ladli Foundation an NGO based in Delhi, in which they has provided us ten thousand subscription for free to distribute to marginal student. Krish Kandari along with Hadeed Shaikh students of B.tech Fire and Safety Engineering of UPES took the lead for this project and made a core team for this who will only work for this project we started volunteering the student through make them filling the google form and after doing that task we did a meeting in which we decide to target our college security staff, Pantry staff ,gardening staff an itself. After deciding our target we made a aim to get at least 50 registration from this target, for this we did a meeting and decide a role a duties and we come to conclusion that Krish and Hadeed will identify student and will take there basic detail and after that volunteers will call them one by one and make them register through google form. For accomplishing our task we call for face to face interaction in three phases we divide where we interacted with staff and conveyed our motto of the meeting and told them about our ongoing project and took there basic details for further progress.
We are glad to share that we got the name 74 students. After this our volunteers did the further work they started calling the student through there number given in basic details and made them register one by one since its the most difficult phase of the all over process since student and there parents are not so highly educated therefore most student do not have there own email id so our volunteers made it for them on call itself and sometime they felt communication gap like they there number was not reachable most of the time they were not picking up the call but they tackled it very well did a commendable work and let this working very much fluently. Now if we come for future progress we drawn a conclusion that we will expand our project to other branch of our college and then other remote areas near college apart from this we made a plan to appoint one mentor over five student who will be responsible to analyse the progress report of the student and report to project manager of this project.
